Structure:
Batch type ribbon blender consists of
A horizontal U-shape mixing drum, Single shaft double helix ribbon, An inlet of various shape and dimensions, an outlet with central discharge valve, A venting spout Two end plates that carry flanged end bearing assemblies complete with integrated shaft sealing unitA drive unit complete with power transmission.Can be manufactured in carbon steel, anti-wear steel, 3.4-3.4L, 316-316L.
Working Principle:
The outer helix will move the material from both ends of the vessel towards the centre while the inner helix will transfer the material towards both ends, performing a sort of convection mixing, The product is processed gently in a relatively short mixing time.

Precisely designed and fabricated ribbons and troughs ensure that blending cycles are fast, with well-balanced lateral and radial transfer of your ingredients. All RBM ribbon blenders include inner and outer ribbons to accelerate the blending cycle. Our main features include:
• All interior corners have a radius to prevent material from collecting in corners and creating problems during the discharge/cleaning cycle.
• Clearances are meticulously controlled
• All internal welds are ground smooth
• A manually-actuated slide valve or slide knife gate valve is generally the first choice for a RBM ribbon blender. For applications including vacuum or pressure operation, a spherical disk valve, knife gate valve or ball valve provideds a positive seal. If no dead space can be tolerated, a flush plug should be considered
• This batching ribbon blender is centre discharge, is the preferred choice for most blends. It provides vigorous lateral and axial movement of your bulk material, running at about 2/3 the speed of comparable ribbon blenders
• Lower risk of binding material between the agitators and the trough walls.

Standard
Seals:
The mixing result and the cleaning after the mixing is dependant upon the sealing property either end of the shaft. We provide various sealing options according to the materials being mixed. The normal sealing structure is stuffing box style seal and also called TEFLON seal. After using for a period, user(s) should adjust and enhance it. However, this dynamic seal has a long term sealing effect and is especially fit for the powder, liquid applications.
Feeding inlet on the body cover:
A, used in the whole mixing/ blending process: In order to connect the feeding devices e.g. augers pneumatics etc…, we design the connecting inlet mouth to suit your new or existing equipment
B, Manual used in manual feeding: In order to operate and clean inside of the body, we design feeding inlet(s) or door(s) suitable for your application.
Discharging:
There is a discharge valve at the bottom of mixer body, and is dependant upon materials being mixed. The operation of the discharging valve is in three variations: Manual, air driven and electrically driven.
